How to Compare Fit
The easiest way to check sizing is to measure a pair of shorts or pants you already love.
Waist
Measure straight across the waistband while the garment is lying flat, then double that number. (use relaxed method)
Hips
Measure across the widest part of the garment and double the measurement. Typically located across the base of the zipper/fly or about 1.5-2 inches below it. (I typically measure 8″ down from bottom of waistband to find the widest part.)
Rise
Measure from the top of the waistband down to the crotch seam.
Inseam
Measure from the crotch seam down the inside leg to the hem.
Caring for Your Botanical Print
Each piece is handmade and naturally dyed, so a little extra care helps keep the print vibrant and beautiful.
Washing
Try to wash only when needed. When it’s time:

Turn the garment inside out to protect the print

Hand wash whenever possible
Washing machines can sometimes contain leftover detergents or cleaning products that may bleach or fade the image.
Use a phosphate-free liquid soap. Gentle, natural soaps such as Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap or Ecomax Natural Orange Laundry Wash work well.

These products may alter the color or dull the vibrancy of the print.
Drying
Air drying is always best.
If using a dryer, tumble alone on low heat. Avoid drying in direct sunlight, which can lighten the print.
The Beauty of Natural Dye
Just like a beloved pair of vintage denim, natural dyes evolve with time. Colors may soften, shift, or blend in subtle ways, creating a beautiful watercolor-like effect.
These changes are part of the living nature of botanical dye and add to the character of the piece.
If the print ever fades significantly, washing the denim in a diluted hydrogen peroxide bath can often help restore some of its original depth.
Cyanotype prints can be sensitive to natural oils and moisture. Sweat or oils from hands may gradually cause slight discoloration, so gentle handling will help preserve the print.
